Business Development Manager Energy Saving
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to drive our Energy Saving business forward.
In 2009, Tele-Products won the Yorkshire distributorship for a range of products designed to reduce energy in lighting circuits. We are also developing energy monitoring products that are designed to display power consumption and lead to reduction in wasted energy. We won the Green Award from the York Press in 2009 and were runners up in the Science & Technology award.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the growth and success of the Energy saving business by producing and delivering the Business Development plan, in line with the overall Tele-Products business plan.
Overall duties
Be in overall charge of the success of the Energy saving business within Tele-Products.
* Prepare the annual Business Development Plan for the Energy saving business
* Define and achieve yearly targets and objectives.
* Identify opportunities and implement strategies for new products and services by analyzing customer needs
Marketing
* Develop and manage client communication tools such as websites
* Develop the corporate brand strategy
* Develop and manage marketing tools for existing and new clients
* Forecast long and short-range market potential for Managements analysis
* Implement business models so as to create new ventures
* Adopt a hands-on approach in monitoring the implementation and execution of marketing programmes
* Develop and deliver the business plans through carrying out research, formulate market analysis and deliver accurate business reports
Sales
* Maximise the companys relationship with existing clients
* Build referral and lead generation network
* Pro-actively hunt for target organizations and establish communications with those businesses that can benefit from our Companys products and services.
* Further develop multi-tier relationships to organically grow the clients accounts.
Requirements
* Solid technical background (either an engineering or science degree or previous experience in the energy saving sector)
* A pro-active self-starter who can operate both individually and as part of a team
* Outstanding needs analysis, positioning, business justification and closing skills
* Proven track record in closing high value sales deals
* Superior presentation and excellent oral and written communication skills
* Excellent negotiation skills
* High commercial acumen and a proven record of confidence dealing with middle managers through to decision makers
* Experience of working with both Public and Private sector organisations.
Organisation
Tele-Products Ltd was established 22 years ago. It specialises in test and measurement instruments and has 12 employees. The successful candidate will report to the Managing Director.
The position
This is a full time position. Salary and benefits will be commensurate with the experience of the candidate.
